Wow! Hard to believe that after all the hard work, long hours, and craziness over the past few months, Original Kids Theatre Company’s first show of the Spring 2014 Season, Disney’s Peter Pan Jr., opens today!
The show was also featured in the London Free Press! Apparently I’m on a roll with the Freeps right now!
From the article:
The Play: Disney’s Peter Pan Jr., with music and lyrics by Sammy Cahn and Sammy Fain. Book and additional lyrics by David Zelnick, presented by Original Kids Theatre Company, directed by Kerry Hishon with musical direction by Kristina Baron-Woods and choreography by Ceris Thomas. This production features 30 members of the OKTC’s junior company.
The Show: This is the classic tale about a boy who wouldn’t grow up. Peter Pan comes to visit Wendy Darling and her brothers and whisks them away to Neverland, introducing them to the Lost Boys, Mermaids and even the infamous pirate, Captain Hook. The show features the classic Disney songs such as You Can Fly, The Second Star to the Right and Yo Ho, A Pirate’s Life for Me.
The Quote: “If you are looking for something fun for the whole family this March Break, you need to fly over to the Spriet Family Theatre to see Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. This show has everything you could ask for: Pirates and Lost Boys, fairies and mermaids, the Darlings, Tinker Bell and of course, Peter Pan himself, all of whom will steal your hearts, amaze and delight you. Fun fact — for over half of the cast, this is their first OKTC production, and their skills and professionalism will blow you away.”
— Director Kerry Hishon
