I’m now in the midst of Fringe withdrawal. In the meantime, here are some useful tips for Fringe performers from Andrew Wade (of The Hatter) and Tonya Jone Miller (of the London Fringe Impresario-winning Threads).
David Blixt talks about The Rules of Violence – Part One, Part Two, and Part Three. Writers and fans of the action genre — don’t forget about the humanity in the violence that you are writing about/viewing. Quoted: “What a good story-teller can do is make taking a life work, re-create that commitment, and never make it casual or easy.”

I love this one: 13 Things Your Kid’s Camp Counselor Won’t Tell You. My favourite is slide #2: “Your kid is a lot less shy and a lot more competent than you think.” Seriously. I deal with kids on a daily basis, and am astounded at how often a parent will underestimate their child and his/her abilities. It makes me sad. 😦
