Play On! Presenting the OKTC Spring 2015 Season!

Play On! Presenting the OKTC Spring 2015 Season!

So exciting! After much anticipation, the Spring 2015 season at Original Kids Theatre Company has finally been released! The theme for the Spring season is “PLAY ON!” and play we will!

From the desk of artistic director, Andrew Tribe:

The 2015 Winter/Spring/Summer Playbill has a simple purpose: to help you remember. We wish you to remember the life of a child playing … and to recall how we could all fill hours with simply our own imaginations. The stories, characters and lives coming to life… through play. And that’s what we do in rehearsal: we play, and then we share what we’ve explored and tinkered with an audience As the play comes alive on stage, we as audience members slow down our lives; and with the actors on stage, we play too! We invite you this season to bring the play into your life. Let our theme for this season be a quiet reminder to actors and audiences alike of something that makes life worth living. Let’s “Play On,” everyone!

I’m happy to announce that my tenth directing project at OKTC will be Nancy Drew: Girl Detective, which will be part of the 2015 OKTC PlayFest, April 11-19! I love a good mystery, and it’s been a long time since I’ve directed a play, so I’m really looking forward to it! Many of my actors are new to me as well, so it’s going to be fun getting to know and work with a new batch of Original Kids.

Tickets for the Spring 2015 season go on sale in January. In the meantime, be sure to see our two remaining shows in the Fall 2014 season: The King & I and Into the Woods!
